Coaldale High opened second half play in the Black Diamond League by scoring a 44-28 decision over Lansford High in a foul-marred contest played on the Coaldale boards.
It was the second win this season over the Panthers for coach Tom Raymer’s Tigers, who moved out in front, 9-7, at the end of the first period and were never headed.
A total of 55 fouls were shot in the rough-and-tumble fray with Coaldale connecting on 14 out of 25 tosses from the charity stripe and the losing Panthers cashing in on only a miserable six for 30 from the free throw line.
Len Yelito led the Tigers with 14 points while Forgay was high for the visiting quintet with nine.
